| SUMMARY |
Mike drives Jessica around the bay in a motor boat, pointing out locations relevant to their investigation. Mike also leads Jessica to his waterfront home and invites her in for a cappuccino, which she declines. As they explore a certain beach, Jessica has a flashback to the murdered man having sex with her against a tree. At the police station, Jessica makes an impromptu announcement for the department to be on the lookout for similar murder victims, to which Lieutenant Tong (Russell Wong) and the other inspectors respond with skepticism. That evening, Jessica is enjoying drinks with Mike when Jimmy shows up to stare at her from across the room. Jessica explains that Jimmy is the reason she doesn't date co-workers anymore. Back at home, Jessica gets drunk by herself and passes out. |
| ANALYSIS |
After Jessica's impressive display of detective work at the crime scene, it appears Mike is eager to step up and show off his own proficiency, starting by using a personal connection to score them a motorboat for the day. Shortly thereafter, Mike presents the following leads:
Unfortunately, Mikes efforts are easily overshadowed by Jessica's natural talent, which includes the unique ability to walk around until she flashes back to having sex with the murder victim. In fact, having apparently had sex with most of the city's male population, Jessica is surely able to offer additional clues when one of them turns up dead, rendering her a valuable resource and (in this sense) possibly the most amazing cop San Francisco has ever had. |
